Rosaline Hartkemeyer

Rosaline Frances Hartkemeyer, 94, of Belle Plaine, IA, passed away February 10, 2026.

Rosaline was born March 5, 1931, to Joseph Sr. and Rose (Balvin) Brezina in Elberon, IA. Graduating from Montour High School, class of 1949. Following school, Rosaline worked a variety of jobs before marrying Albert L. Hartkemeyer on October 25, 1968, at First Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine. Together they made their home on the Hartkemeyer family farm north of Brooklyn, IA. After her husband's passing in 1998, Rosaline spent some time on the farm before eventually moving into Belle Plaine.

She is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Emerson, Marcella (Jim) Cline, Arlene (Bill) Tubbs, Caroline Zach; brother, Bernard (Sharon) Brezina and many nieces and nephews.

Rosaline is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; siblings, Lillian Lund, Edward, Gladys, Joe, Leonard, and Richard Brezina.

Visitation was 10-11 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine with burial to follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Luzerne, IA. Memorials may be directed to the family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.neuhausfuneralservice.com
