Jerry Turbett

Jerry R. Turbett, 85, passed away December 24 at Iowa River Hospice, Marshalltown. Jerry was the son of Clyle and Lauretta (Bigelow) Turbett of LeGrand.

Jerry grew up in LeGrande, and enjoyed playing football and basketball for the Warriors during high school. After high school, Jerry graduated from William Penn University, and received his Masters degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He was employed by Dow Chemical Co. as a chemical analyst for many years before becoming a technical sales representative and moving to Scottsdale, AZ. After retirement, Jerry moved back to Tama, and became a gifted wood turner enjoying the company of his many friends and aquaintances. His positive attitude and kindness will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Crossley (Tama) and children, karen Hyatt (San Tan Valley, AZ), Michael Turbett (Georgetown, TX); 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
