Mary Pushetonequa

TAMA-Mary Martha Pushetonequa, “a sa we ge ka”, 78, of Tama, passed away, Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama under the care of Iowa River Hospice. A Traditional Wake will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Eagle Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama. A Traditional Graveside Service will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM at McIntosh Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama.

Survivors include her children, Sonja (Orrie Jr.) Roberts, Paula (Jason) Roberts, Parnell Roberts, and Glenda (Ty) Roberts; sisters, Ruth Pushetonequa, Janan (Kurt) Mohler, Leona Azure-Whiteman, Tonya Bear, Diana (Robert) Guizar, and Terri (Steve) Scott; brothers, James Pushetonequa, Ron and Gary Alexander, and Keith Davenport; many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
