Patsy Lasley

TAMA-Patsy Ann Lasley, 73, of Tama, passed away, Monday, May 19, 2025, at UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown Hospital. A Traditional Wake will be held Monday Evening, May 19, 2025, at the Eagle Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama. A Traditional Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Morgan Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama.

Patsy was born on November 11, 1951, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Jessup and Leila (Buffalo) Lasley.

She graduated from STC High School.

Patsy enjoyed beadwork, dancing at Powwows, and singing. She also enjoyed going to the casino, where she liked to play Bingo. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Paula Head, Petrice Painter, Leah YoungBear, Stevie YoungBear, Craig YoungBear Jr., Antonia Hernandez, and Zach Oldbear; grandchildren, Erik, Yolanda, Ellis, Melina, Rainelle, Secoyah, Shaii, Leila, Azalee, Avery, Armando, Taylah, Taj, Tyah, Ava, Ammry, Kylyss, Eeva, Daelia, Dominick, Zion, Amias, Kelley, Calvin, and Kieran; ten great grandkids; sisters, Priscilla, Peggy, Stella Mae, Eloise, and Darlene; and numerous adopted relatives, and other relatives.

Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Leila YoungBear; son, Lowell YoungBear; sisters, Eloise, Carmen, Nadine, Violet; brothers, Gordon Sr., Mark, and Clark; paternal grandparents, Harvey and Kewanee Lasley; and maternal grandparents, John Buffalo and Elsie Morgan.

Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
