Charles See

Charles “Charlie” Richard See, 73, of Toledo, IA, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Sunny Hill Care Center, Tama, IA, surrounded by his family.

Charles was born April 9, 1952, in Toledo, IA, the son of Raymond and Hazel (Elliott) See. He attended South Tama High School. Following high school, he worked at Tama Pack and drove semi-trucks. Charles later received his welding certificate from Iowa Valley Community College, welded for both Eggleston’s and Kellog Manufacturing.

Charlie enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, reading and watching westerns, always played the lotto and dreaming about what he would do with the winnings, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughters, known as Charlies Angels: Melissa “Missy” (Aron) Vargas, of Toledo, Amy See (Dion Youngbear), of Tama, Katy See (Jeff Stephenson), of Tama; grandchildren: Kylan Roberts, Kelcie (Samantha) Roberts and 7 children; Jayde Roberts and 5 children; Bryce Climer, Nathan Climer, Eric Climer and 2 children; Minnie Climer and 1 child, Haley Croskey (David Escarzaga) and Paige Croskey, sister Nancy Blocker, of Tama; and many more nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bruce See and sister Carla Buckley.

The Celebration of Life will be from 5 pm to 7pm on Tuesday, May 27th at the Tama Civic Center. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.neuhausfuneralservice.com.
