Mavis Bachman

Mavis Ann Bachman, 96, of Toledo, Iowa passed away November 18, 2023, at the Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Mavis was born May 17, 1927, to Walter and Emma Dannenberg in Eldora, Iowa. She graduated from Hubbard High School.

Mavis was a homemaker and also worked in the local Tama stores before retiring.

She was known for her kindness, humor and volunteer work. Her faith, family and friends were the most important to her.

Mavis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Ray Bachman, her daughter, Carol Fonua, two sisters Nancy Dole and Bernice Greiner, son-in-law Vernon Billingsley and two grandchildren Chad and Heather Hawkins.

She was survived by her children: Patricia Billingsley, Teresa Jackson (Darnell), Gary Bachman, her sister Lucille Dannenberg and brother Walter Dannenberg. She had seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

There will be an interment ceremony at Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo, Iowa later this spring.
