Julia Josephine (Julie) Aldridge, 85

Julia Josephine (Julie) Aldridge, 85, of Tama, Iowa, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on the afternoon of Monday, August 28, 2023, Premier Estates Nursing Home in Toledo, Iowa.

Julie, was born on May 17,1939, in Nolan Township, in Iowa, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Sindelar) Sichra.

On April 12, 1958, she married the love of her life Joseph Aldridge. They were members of the St. Patrick Church in Tama.

They made their home in Tama county, where they had lived on a couple of farms, then they moved to town.

Julie enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, crocheting, playing card games with her parents and siblings. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories are her five children: Becky Purk, Bernie (Nan) Aldridge, of Tama, Ia, Julie (Randy) Upah, of Chelsea, Ia, Rick (Roni), of Soldotna, Alaska, Laurie (Jim) Schmitt, of Doniphan, Nebraska .

Grandchildren: Jeremy (Jodi) Purk, LeGrand, Ia, Josh (Monica) Purk, Amanda Purk, Adam (Abbie) Purk, of Tama, Ia, Jarade (Sincerea) Purk, of Waverly, Oh. Amber (Brock) Lacina, Tanner (Tarah), of Tama, Ia, Katie (Josh) Gay, of Rosehill, Ia., Desiree (Ryan) Traxler, Dakotah (Shannon) Aldridge, Dartanian Aldridge, of Soldotna Alaska, Erica (Heath) Metz, of Tama, Ia, Holly (Ryan) Kupka, of Victor, Ia, Ashley (Brian) Kearney, of Keystone, Ia. Curtis Aldridge, of Lexington, KY.

She had twenty-four great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

A brother Joe Sichra, of Waterloo, Ia, a sister Janet (Chuck) Anderson, of Tama Ia., and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In death Julia, has rejoined her husband Joe, her parents Joseph and Mary Sichra, son-in-law Chuck Purk, sister Joann Starits, brother-in-law Kenny Starits, sister-in-law Sharon Sichra, and many others.

There will be a private burial at a later date.
