Perry Dean Wacha, 76

Perry Dean Wacha “BOH” died Thursday May 11, 2023, at home.

Born October 30, 1946, to Carlton and Lillian Kaplan Wacha in Toledo, Iowa. Just down the hall from his future bride to be. He was 76 years old.

Perry married Barbara Ann Abbe June 5, 1965, and in January of 1969 they became the parents of a son Scott Andrew Wacha in Marshalltown.

Perry left this world on his own terms. The family chooses to respect his wishes down to the potato chip can. He was a man of few words. But when he did speak it was full of any car knowledge you ever needed and full of great stories.

Despite his cutting remarks, cut off sleeves and stubbornness there is actual evidence that he was a loving, giving and caring person. That evidence is shown in the family he created and the deep sorrow his family feels from his passing.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Barb Wacha; his son, Scott and Cherie Wacha and their children Nicholas (Micaela Holm) Wacha and Kristin Wacha; great grandchildren, Sebastian and Juniper Wacha.
