Tammy Jean Pesina, 61
Tammy Jean Pesina, 61, of Tama, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023, at her home. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery in rural Toledo. There will be a Celebration of Life at a future date.
Tammy was born on May 24, 1961, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Linder) McFate.
She graduated from South Tama High School in 1979 and then attended Graceland University in Lamoni. Tammy was employed at Imagine the Possibilities in Toledo as a Direct Support Specialist. In her spare time, she enjoyed sketching, painting and was a movie buff. She and her sister hosted dinner-murder mysteries, as well as attending them.
Survivors include two children, Eric (Ashley) Brillon, of Truro, and Sabrina Orr, of Center Point; three granddaughters: Kira, Nataley and Olivia Brillon; one sister, Teri Polka, of Tama; one brother, David McFate, of Montour; three nieces: Jamie Lewis, Rebecca Halverson and Jessica McFate; three nephews: Mathew Polka, Denzil McFate and Curtis McFate.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Denzil McFate; and brother-in-law, Daniel Polka.
A memorial fund will be established.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
