Carol Ann Jaeggi, 76

Carol Ann Jaeggi, 76, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. A Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 9:30-10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with a Memorial Mass following at 10:30 AM at the church with Father Michael McAndrew as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo.

Carol was born on August 25, 1946, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Vera (Lemon) Jaeggi.

She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School, where she was a cheerleader.

In 1965, she married her former husband, Robert Klostermann and they were together for thirty years raising their five children. When they came to town, she worked in the family shoe store, Bob’s Bootery in Tama from 1975-1988. Carol then worked twenty-three years at the Meskwaki Bingo & Casino in the Security Department, retiring from there. She was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Tama-Toledo Country Club. Carol enjoyed fishing, golfing, movies and attending her kids and grandkids activities. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother.

Survivors include five children: Robert Klostermann, of Marion, Rich Klostermann, of Tama, Ron Klostermann, of Toledo, Russ (Kellee) Klostermann, of Toledo, and Carrie (Chris) Musgrave, of Toledo; nine grandchildren: Michael, Cameron, Cassandra, Kaylee and Mitchell Klostermann, Natasha, Dylan (Julie), Jessica and Carissa Musgrave.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her former husband, Robert Klostermann; and daughter-in-law, Stacy Klostermann.

A memorial fund will be established.

Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
