Willie Junior Kriegel, 74

Willie Junior Kriegel, 74, of State Center, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Friends and family attended a celebrating the life of Willie on Saturday, March 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Born May 4, 1948, in Grinnell, Iowa, he was the son of Wilbur Henry and Waneta Cleo (Hileman) Kriegel. He was married to Marsha Gifford and later divorced. Willie worked over 15 years at Lennox Industries, as well as owning and operating a mechanic shop for over 30 years in State Center. Working on cars was more than just an occupation; it was a true passion and a favorite hobby. On October 5, 2014, Willie was united in marriage to Gloria Enlow in South English, Iowa. The couple made their home in State Center. In his free time, he enjoyed hanging out with his kids and grandkids, having coffee with friends, gardening and spending time with his sidekick dog, Duke.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 8 years, Gloria; his son, Rodney (Kristin) Kriegel, of Conrad; stepchildren: Brandy Bestland (Dan), of South English, and Allen (Amanda) Bestland, of North English; grandchildren: Bree Marie, Luke, Hudson, Ashley, Kenzie, Willow and Seth; great grandchild, Jordan; siblings: Wilma Kriegel, of Gladbrook, and Wesley Kriegel, of Ottumwa, and his beloved Dachshund, Duke.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Waneta, his great granddaughter, Zoey Bestland, brother Wendell Kriegel, sister, Wanda Pearson and father-in-law, Preston Enlow.
