Steven Kenneth Halverson, 70

Steven Kenneth Halverson, 70, of Marshalltown and formerly of Tama, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama under the care of Hospice of Mercy. Visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 2022, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with a Sharing of Memories to follow at 12:00 PM. Private Family Interment will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo.

Steven was born on September 17, 1952, in West Union, Iowa, the son of Derold and Shirley (Sutter) Halverson.

Steven and Andrianne Gomez were together many years and got married on February 22, 2008.

Steven previously worked at the Tama Pack, and then Meskwaki Bingo & Casino in security. Before retiring, he was employed at Lennox in Marshalltown. Steven enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife, Andrianne Halverson, of Marshalltown; children: Michelle Hoing, of Toledo, Amanda (Kevin) Harken, of Toledo, Nicholas (Angelica) Buffalo, of Marshalltown, Simon Buffalo, of Tama, Beau (Lucy) Lasley of Tama, Zane Oldbear, of Tama, Cody (Emily) Prusha, of Garwin, and Chanelle (Jose) Madrigal, of Marshalltown; twenty-three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings: Karen (Craig) Mann, of Toledo, Robin (James) Buckley, of Tama, Brenda (Tom) Anderson, of Tama, Candee Garcia, of Colorado, Brian (Debbie) Halverson, of Toledo, Raylene (Jose) Jimenez, of Garwin, and Monica Halverson, of Toledo; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Ian Liel Halverson; daughter, Anna Jo Halverson; sister, Connie Welsh and brother-in-law, Chon Garcia.

A memorial fund will be established.
