Gregory Lyle Keahna Sr. âKiyana,ã 73, of Tama, passed away, Saturday, September 24, 2022, at UnityPoint/Marshalltown Medical Center. A Traditional Wake was held Sunday evening, September 25, 2022, at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services was held Monday, September 26, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Settlement with Mike Keahna as speaker. Head Pallbearer will be Larry Lasley Sr.

Gregory was born on August 30, 1949, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Wilbur and Myrtle (Davenport) Keahna.

On February 24, 2009, he married Kristine N. Nicholi.

He previously worked in construction. Gregory enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, Powwow Highway and attending cultural activities. His hobbies included gardening and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Kristine, of Tama; mother, Myrtle Keahna, of Tama; daughter, Jennifer Keahna (Richard) Harris, of Ankeny; sons, Wilbur Keahna and Gregory Keahna Jr., of Tama; grandchildren, Roman and Alexandria, of Ankeny; brother, Tom Davenport, of Tama; stepdaughter, Krystal Mitchell, of Toledo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Keahna; and stepdaughter, Maria Willie.

Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
