Patricia Campbell

Patricia Kay Campbell, 57, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care with her husband by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael McAndrew officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Monday, January 10, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with a Vigil Service at 7 PM. The Mass will be live streamed on Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home and Cremation Services Facebook page.

Patricia was born on March 17, 1964, in Huntington Beach, CA, the daughter of Norman and Joan (Manfull) Gibson.

She graduated from La Sierra High School in Riverside, CA, where she excelled in volleyball.

On March 30, 1991, she was united in marriage to Kent Campbell in Riverside, CA. Pat ran her own commercial cleaning business and prior to that was a Department Supervisor for Broadway Stores and Macy’s in California. Pat was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. She coached AAU Volleyball for many years. As she was growing up, Pat spent a lot of weekends in the desert camping and riding motorcycles with her family. She enjoyed spending time at their lake house at Lake Ponderosa.

Survivors include her husband, Kent of Toledo; her children, Ryan (Shawna) Campbell of Ankeny, Shaun Campbell of Ankeny, and Katelyn Campbell at home; one granddaughter, Elise Campbell; step-granddaughters, Mabel and Estelle Way; her mother, Joan Gibson of Tama; her siblings, Jeff (Faith) Gibson of Fort Mohave, AZ, Robert (Nancy) Gibson of Jenison, MI, Ricky Gibson of CA, and Robin (Rick) Schoonderwoerd of Carlsbad, CA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Gibson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
