Donna Belle Kellogg was born on August 8, 1936 to parents Putnam and Grace (Sells) Kellogg on the family farm outside of Gilman, Iowa. She attended school in Gilman alongside her four siblings. She later graduated from Gilman High School.

On July 15, 1961, Donna was united in marriage to the love of her life Charles “Chuck” Lusher at the Gilman Community Church. She and Chuck moved around to various surrounding areas until settling in Grinnell with their family. She worked on the farm helping to raise their two children and helping out Chuck. She later worked as a hostess at the Grinnell House after her children grew up and she was able to do additional work off of the farm.

In her free time, she was a member of the First Friends Church choir in Grinnell and a 4-H leader in Grinnell for the Washington Merry Workers. She loved anything that had to do with the Christmas season, filling her entire foyer with a full Christmas Village. She was a supporter and fan of the Iowa State Women’s basketball team, enjoyed annual trips to the Iowa State Fair, grew a huge vegetable garden every year that was full of grapes and had numerous apple trees. She loved to spend time with her grandson Ian and go on camping trips to Red Rock with him and Chuck. Her family was the biggest and most important thing to her and she always had a thankful and sincere attitude about everything.

Donna is survived by her daughter Lori (Linda Fuller) Bousson and her daughter-in-law Sue Cosmos; her grandson, Ian Bousson; her siblings, Delbert Kellogg, Robert (Marie) Kellogg Max (Marcia) Kellogg, and Linda (Wayne) Kellogg; alongside numerous extended family members.

She is rejoined in heaven with her husband Charles “Chuck” Lusher; her daughter, Tammy “TJ” Lusher; her parents, Putnam and Grace Kellogg; and her sister-in laws Doris Kellogg and Susie Kellogg.
