Shirley Hall, 89, of Windsor Heights, IA formerly of Tama, IA passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at her daughters residence under the care of UnityPoint Hospice – Des Moines. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown, IA. Shirley was born June 6, 1931 to Glen and Gretel Blanche (Isom) Stanley in Thurman, IA. She graduated from Thurman High School in 1949. She later on received her Bachelors Degree from Drake University and her Masters Degree from The University of Iowa. Shirley was united in marriage to Theodore Ivory Hall Jr. on May 29, 1955. Shirley was a devoted and highly regarded teacher the South Tama County Community School district from 1971 to 1993, earning the 1992 Teacher of the Year Award from the Hiram of Tyre Masonic Lodge 203. She always loved her students. Shirley was a former President of EW Chapter of P.E.O., a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and an active member of the United Methodist Church in Tama. She was involved in women’s circle, choir and taught Sunday School as well as organized Bible School. You could always find Shirley gardening and studying her herbs.

She is survived by her two daughters; Lori (Jeff) Lacina of Olathe, KS, Melissa (Darin) Davis of Windsor Heights, IA, Four grandchildren; Grant Lacina of Olathe, KS, Ivory Lacina of North Kansas City, MO, Maxwell Lacina of Olathe, KS, Grayson Sinning of Des Moines, IA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband (Ted), an infant son, Theodore Ivory Hall III and her brother Larry Stanley.

Memorial Fund contributions will be donated to Wesley Day Services in Des Moines for their loving care of Shirley for nearly eight years.
