Winnie was born on September 26, 1958 to John & Winifred (Coughlin) Lynch in Ottumwa, Iowa. Winnie grew up on a farm in Melrose/Georgetown, Iowa. She was the second youngest child of nine to John & Winifred Lynch.

Winnie attended elementary school in Melrose, IA and high school in Albia, IA and graduated from Prairie City High School in 1977. Winnie continued on with schooling at Marshalltown Community College in Marshalltown, IA to become an LPN.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving partner Richard Fowler “Tiger” of Tama; her three children, Eric Lynch of Arizona, Nathan Zobel of California, and Heather(Zobel) and her husband Ryan Ealy of Waukee. Over the years, Winnie enjoyed traveling to see her children and spending time with her grandchildren whom she cherished. Winnie was also an avid reader and loved to spend time tending to her garden. She was passionate about Iowa Hawkeyes football and basketball and cherished her conversations she had with her children. In the spring time, Winnie loved to go mushroom hunting with friends and also enjoyed visits to the Mississippi. A recent highlight was her reconnecting with high school friends. Winnie also loved to cook and one of the meals her children loved most was her “amazing” meatloaf and the grasshopper bars she made around Christmas time.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters Shirley Livengood and Helene Marie Lynch; her brothers William “Bill” and John Lynch; her grandparents Thomas & Katherine Lynch and Edward and Julia Coughlin.

Winnie’s wish was to be cremated and no services will be held at this time. A small celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
