Winnie attended elementary school in Melrose, IA and high school in Albia, IA and graduated from Prairie City High School in 1977. Winnie continued on with schooling at Marshalltown Community College in Marshalltown, IA to become an LPN.

Over the years, Winnie enjoyed traveling to see her children and spending time with her grandchildren whom she cherished. Winnie was also an avid reader and loved to spend time tending to her garden. She was passionate about Iowa Hawkeyes football and basketball and cherished her conversations she had with her children. In the spring time, Winnie loved to go mushroom hunting with friends and also enjoyed visits to the Mississippi. A recent highlight was her reconnecting with high school friends. Winnie also loved to cook and one of the meals her children loved most was her “amazing” meatloaf and the grasshopper bars she made around Christmas time.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters Shirley Livengood and Helene Marie Lynch; her brothers William “Bill” and John Lynch; her grandparents Thomas & Katherine Lynch and Edward and Julia Coughlin.
