Robert Anthony Novak, 61, died Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. He was born May 9, 1959 to Bernard and Doris (Novotny) Novak. Robert graduated from South Tama High School. He moved to Des Moines in 1990 where he enjoyed working at different restaurants and bars. Robert is survived by his son, Joshua (Jhove) Novak; brothers, John and Tom (Nikki) Novak; sister, Anita (Dennis) Bohnstengel; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ron Novak, sister in law, Mary Novak Per his request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
