Jennie Jessica Youngbear was born on October 9, 1963, the daughter of Archie Bear, Jr. and Dorothy Mauskemo. She grew to adulthood on the Meskwaki Settlement and attended South Tama County Schools, graduating in 1982. Jennie had been employed in the housekeeping department at the Super 8 Motel in Toledo until 1999 when her health forced her to stop working. She will forever be remembered as an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, always watching Jeopardy, doing crossword puzzles, reading books and going for rides with her family. But most of all, she dearly loved being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Jessica Bear and Jessica’s fiancé, Robert Neuroth, Sr., Dorothy Youngbear and Julius Youngbear; her step daughter, Audreyanna Marlett; her grandchildren: Anastasia and Colette Niles, NyAsia, Anna Maye, Alysabeth and Robert Neuroth, Jr., and Charlie and Izzy Marlett; her sister, Ladonna Bear; her brothers: Val (Heather) Bear, Merle (Tiffany) Bear, Archie “Bob” Bear and Barry Bear; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In eternal life, Jennie is reunited with her parents; her step mother, Anna Bear who raised her; and, her stepdaughter, Alysabeth Ferneau.
