James Pashby

James “Jim” Pashby, 74, of Chelsea, Iowa passed away at his home on Thursday August 27, 2020.

A celebration of his life will be held at the VFW in Tama at 1:00 on Saturday September 12 for family and friends. James Leslie Pashby was born on August 8, 1946 in Waterloo, Iowa to Douglas and Betty(Albright).

He married the love of his life, Mary, on April 12, 1996. One son, Doug was born from this union.

Jim was a Seabee in the Navy for 4 years and upon his return to Waterloo worked at John Deere. Jim became an over the road truck driver and worked for several businesses including Z line then Oberg freight until his retirement.

Jim had a passion for the outdoors. Whether it was fishing or mowing the lawn he enjoyed being outside. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and looked forward to watching the games with his best friend, Mary. Jim especially enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends and his grandson James.

Those left to honor his memory include his son Douglas (Cedar Rapids), grandson James and daughter in law Amanda (Marion). A sister-in-law Carol (Orlando)and a niece Erica (Orlando) and a nephew Danny (Orlando).

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Mary on June 15.
