Elsie Ella Vesely, 95, of Tama, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. Private services will be held with interment at National Cemetery in rural Vining. Please feel free to leave condolences to the family at www.kruse-phillips.com.

Elsie was born on April 10, 1924 in rural Carroll Township, Tama County, Iowa, the daughter of Eman and Anna (Buresh) Dvorak.

On April 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to Joe Vesely. Elsie had worked for the Arp and Zigler’s Nursing Homes and the Irish Egg and Poultry House in Tama. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and was a fantastic cook.

Survivors include two daughters, Marcella (Roger) Boldt of Chelsea, and Helen (Douglas) Forbes of Missouri; two sons, Eugene (Betty) Vesely of Toledo and Leonard (Charlene) Vesely of Newton; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Joe on February 24, 1965; and two infant brothers.

A memorial fund will be established.
