Dennis Brandt

Dennis Brandt, 73, passed away on June 22nd under the care of hospice in the comfort of his home in Macomb, Illinois.

He was born on Sept. 28, 1946 in Toledo, Iowa to Alfred Brandt Jr. and Ruth Schroeder Brandt Kriz. He graduated from high school, served in Army Reserves, attended computer school at UNI and worked at UNI for a short time. He then worked for Pioneer in Toledo and Illinois where he met his wife Kay. Together they have one daughter, Jessica.

He is survived by his wife Kay, daughter Jessica, two sisters, Nickey Slagle of Marengo and Connie(Ron) Dostal of Marshalltown, 2 aunts, two nieces and one nephew, several great nieces and nephews and many cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents, grandparents and in-laws.

Dennis loved the Hawkeyes, watching football, golfing and playing cards at the golf course. He also loved coming back to Iowa and never missed an opportunity to eat pizza at Mama DiGrados and have ice cream at Evs in Marshalltown!

Graveside services will be Wednesday June 26th, 2:00 p.m., at the Oakland Cemetery in Macomb, Ill. Celebration of life will follow at the Gold Hills Golf course in Macomb,Illinois.
