Raymond Earl Taylor Jr.

Raymond Earl Taylor Jr., 58, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his home due to a sudden illness. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Worship Center, 301 South Broadway, Toledo with Pastor Brian Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in rural Toledo. Visitation will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Christ United Methodist Worship Center in Toledo.

Raymond was born on July 11, 1957, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Raymond Earl and Shirley (Kroeger) Taylor Sr. He graduated from South Tama High School. He married Mary Meister and they had four children together. They later divorced. On May 2, 2008 he was united in marriage to Michele Loney at their home in Toledo. Raymond was an end loader operator for Wendling Quarries in Montour.

He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his home, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Michele of Toledo; his mother, Shirley Taylor of Toledo; his children, Cassie (Dan) Fraser of Alden, Raymond Earl Taylor III of Iowa Falls, Nathan (Richelle) Taylor of Brooklyn, Melissa (Brad) Tanner of Traer, Travis Blankenburg of Iowa Falls and Laura Taylor of Toledo; twelve grandchildren, J.T., Abbi, David, Pedro, Lexi, Tony, Jimena, Adrian, Brice, Austin, Samara and Ray IV; one brother, James (Stephanie) Taylor of Bentonville, AR; two sisters, Terry (Tom) Foley of the Pella area and Susan Mason of Detroit, MI; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Raymond Earl Taylor Sr.; and one son, Christopher Michael Taylor.

A memorial fund has been established.
