Dale L. Freese

Dale L. Freese, 56, of Tama, died Monday, November 10th, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. He will be laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Toledo. Born on February 15th, 1958, in Marshalltown at the Deaconess Hospital, he was the son of Duane and Juanita (Sevcik) Freese. Dale received his education in the South Tama Schools and was employed as a semi-driver for Bituminous Asphalt. He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge in Tama. Dale treasured his family as well as his dogs, Bugsy and B.B. He was united in marriage to Sheryl Cooling and together they were blessed with a son, Colt, they later divorced. He later was blessed to have a second son, Logun, with Shari.

Left to cherish his memory is Shari, his loving companion of 36 years, his sons: Colt Parker Freese of Lynnville-Sully and Logun Lee Freese of Tama, his parents Duane M. and Juanita Freese of Tama, his brother Dallas Ray (Edie) Freese of Pilot Mound, Iowa and sister Ivy (Eddie Foubert) of Williamsburg, Iowa, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

  • In death, he rejoined his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William Sevcik and Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Freese and uncles Rex Sevcik and Bill Hamel and cousin, Rallen PaPesh.
