With the gray sky reflected up in the puddles that have formed from the recent rains, the usual group of meeting goers faced the chilly morning air and went to attend this week’s Tama County Supervisors meeting. This week’s roads report was fairly short, as they’ve mostly been dealing with issues that’ve stemmed from the rainfall.

The supervisors had some discussion with Sheriff Casey Schmidt and approved a 28E with the Black Hawk County SWAT Team. A letter of support for Public Health was approved.

The supervisors approved a utility permit. The GASB75 report for FY26 was approved.

The Annual Urban Renewal Report for fiscal year 2025-2026 was approved. The supervisors heard a presentation by Ryan Smith from Schneider Geospatial about the Beacon Web Portal.

The supervisors had another closed session regarding possible litigation. It led to no action. Claims totaling $63,953.13 were approved.
