With the sun laid out about the sky like the broken yolk of a fried egg, ushering in another summer morning, people gathered for the weekly Tama County Supervisors meeting on Monday. Citizens discussed the prevalence of weeds and flowers and the beauty, annoyance, and containment of such plants during the public comment time.

The meeting went on to begin with the roads report, which stated, among other things, that they are doing ditching, cutting brush, and spot rocking. The meeting then swiftly moved on to approving an amended 28E agreement with the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center.

Next up were two utility permits, one for Nicole Jardine and another for Alliant Energy, both were approved. The Dysart Law Enforcement Contract was approved.

The supervisors went ahead and approved the project engineer closeout assistance contract with Calhoun-Burns and Associates, which will cover four projects. Claims totaling $120,360.47 were approved.
