The sun was bright, and candy flew through the air, eclipsing the sun. It was this year’s Lincoln Highway Bridge Festival. Things kicked off on Friday with the carnival and food trucks. The community band played, and the citizen of the year was crowned. Saturday started with block after block of floats as the yearly parade serpentined through Tama, delighting all of those present. The Deer Creek Pullers had their lawn mower pulling event soon after, with tire spinning fun. Whether testing your equipment’s mettle with the Deer Creek Pullers, getting your face painted by the STC Art Club, or just trying to get the big prize at the carnival games, you were having fun this weekend.
