The last Tama County Supervisors meeting of the year on Monday was over and done within a mere 15 minutes. This rocket ship of a meeting started like always with Tama County Engineer, Ben Daleske, giving his weekly report. He stated that they hauled sand to the mix sheds last week, and they also moved some rock on 150th Street. They will also be doing some brush cutting and tree trimming soon.
The supervisors talked about the two new hires for the road department. After seven interviews, Taylor House and Terry Purvis were hired as the two new road foreman as the county is moving back to a two foreman system. The county will be split into two sections, east and west, and the new hires will start on Jan. 5.
Claims totaling $89,121.44 were approved.
