The proposed sale of the old STC middle school is officially no more as both interested parties, George Duncan, with his company Southfork Premier Properties LLC in Meadville, Mo., and Mike Kovalrachik, of Sherman Oaks, Calif., have pulled their bid from the properties. This was confirmed in an email to the Tama-Toledo News Chronicle received Monday afternoon, South Tama Superintendent John Cain stated, “Both our buyer and end user have pulled their interest in our Toledo properties. As a board, we are working with the city of Toledo on options. Other possibilities include potentially relisting our properties and/or moving forward with potential demolition.”

The two parties had shared plans with the district of turning the old middle school into a children’s home or an international school. Further information will be available in Friday’s edition of the News-Chronicle, available both digitally and in print.
