Early Monday morning, under the bright shining light of a new week, a group formed on the Toledo Courthouse lawn. Jim Roan stood on the legendary courthouse bandstand, thanked all those he needed to, and talked about what the monument meant for the citizens of the county and what it will mean for generations to come. With shovels in hand, the ground was broken, and the renovation was officially started. By midday, the bandstand was already significantly changed as work was well underway.
