The man, the myth, the legend, the Toledo man synonymous with the 911 call, Greg Johnson himself, has officially retired. After decades of service to the city of Toledo and its Emergency Services, Greg has hung up his hat. A retirement party was held at the Toledo Reinig center, with many local citizens coming and going and visiting, and wishing Greg well on years ahead, enjoying the quiet life.

When asked by the paper what he was going to do with his retirement, Greg simply replied, “Not this.”

Johnson joined the emergency services in the summer of 1994 and was hired as the director in November of 1999.
