The usual bunch congregated for the supervisors meeting on a hot Monday morning this week. The meeting kicked off with a bit of quiet time during a particularly slow public comment section. The Tama County Engineer had a proxy give the weekly report as he’s currently on vacation. The proxy reported that Iowa Bridge and Culvert will be having P Avenue open soon weather depending; F Avenue will be worked on next. A new trailer was also purchased.

Human resources reported needing to get together with the supervisors for union discussions. HR also said that the Conservation Board is in need of a member.

Curtis Behrens, the Tama County conservation director, gave his year-end report to the Supervisors. Behrens talked about planned burns, seminars, ongoing maintenance, filling the lake, and workshops, among other things. A resolution to transfer some funds for the department was approved.

The FY24-25 Tax Rates were approved. Claims totaling $788,941.24 were approved.
