Makerspace at the Toledo Public Library

TOLEDO — The Makerspace is an area where users can use tools and equipment to design and create Do-It-Yourelf projects. Examples of these projects include cards and other paper crafts, iron-on designs for clothing and accessories, stickers and labels, custom stencils, art and home decor projects and more.

Libraries are so much more than books, and the library is excited to offer this new service to the adults in the community. The Makerspace service is designed to continue the library’s mission of lifelong learning by providing a space for making, collaborating, learning and sharing through creative projects.

The Toledo Public Library and the Library Foundation appreciate the generous grant funding provided by the Tama County Community Foundation. With this support, the library is able to offer this new service.
