It was the annual Yuletide Holly Jolly Day of celebration throughout Tama-Toledo last Saturday. Sugar plums danced around in the stocking hat covered minds of little ones who delighted at seeing the big man in red. Yes, Santa Q. Claus spent the whole day in town kickin it with all the festive locals. From the country club to the parade, the big man shook his big bowl of jelly all across town. Sometimes, a few thought they were possibly seeing double or triple as Ol’ tricky Krispy Kringle used his magic to appear in the parade more than once, running about, throwing out candy, and putting his feet up in the bed of a truck.

The scheduling may have put the fat man before the turkey, but no one was complaining. Things started early Saturday morning with sweet treats and Santa meets, and the night ended with the lighting of the twinkling holiday decorations that festooned downtown Toledo. The night left Tama-Toledo ringing with holiday cheer and rabidly awaiting the big man in red’s evening of return.
