ARPA distribution approved at supervisors meeting

TOLEDO – This week’s Tama County Supervisors meeting started like most, with a report from the Tama County Engineer. Work on a sign up on Payton Road has finished. The Toledo Bridge end rails are being put up, and then it’s on to the dirt work, work on the bridge is moving swiftly. The bridge crew is out on 260th, and the blades are running.

The Supervisors approved an Employee recognition/Miscellaneous expense policy, which covers everything from mandatory training, and years of service awards to funeral-floral arrangements.

A resolution was also approved to distribute funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) into the following projects.

-Tama County Secondary Roads- Topographical Program- $42,464.00

-Tama County Secondary Roads- Fuel System with FOBS- $45,977.37

-Tama County Auditor- DS450 Ballot Tabulating Equipment- $37,852.40

-Tama County Auditor- DS450 Ballot Tabulating Equipment- $26,147.60 (LATC)

-Tama County Treasurer- Desk- $2,500.00

-Tama County Auditor- Computers and software- $15,000.00

-Tama County 911- Training Reimbursement- $6,376.40

The Supervisors also approved setting up an opioid fund committee and generating a report to comply with the Settlement agreement.

A resolution was passed to renew a 28E intergovernmental agreement for mental health and disability service network called County Social Services.

A liquor license for Your Private Bartender, Inc. was approved as well.
