On July 21 Tama council member Matt Beatty and community volunteer Denise Fletcher were introduced by Karen Mixdorf and presented information on the Community Visioning Project.

This project includes both Tama and Toledo.

The purpose of the project is to give the communities a path for improvements. The project has relied on input form citizens of the two communities. The future visioned by the project should be ready for final and public recommendations in the early part of fall.

Both Beatty and Fletcher want to present information about the project to as many community members as possible.

The project is to have a continuous sidewalk from Toledo to Tama along Highway 63.

Anne Michael, a Kiwanis member, said it was exciting to see how committed both Beatty and Fletcher are and to realize the towns will be moving forward.
