Corps members stand ready on the South Tama football field July 10 as STC community members watch on from the bleachers. The Colts held a community performance Saturday where they demonstrated their practice routine and offered an early look at their 2021 contest performance. Throughout the week, sounds of horns, drums and metronomes could be heard all over the school campus as the group conducted their intensive rehearsals. During their time in Tama, STC band students had opportunities to meet with members of the group to learn about performing at the drum corps level. “I was ecstatic with the level of participation our students had with the Colts,” STC Band Director Mike Carnahan said. “Both from viewing practices and from hands on work by their staff.”
