Nathan Doran, co-owner of The Pump, told the Tama City Council he will be seeking permission at the June 15 council meeting to begin staging “Bike Nights” each Wednesday through September.

He will ask for the 200 block of West 3rd St. to be closed on Wednesday nights to allow for motorcycles to line both sides and the center of the street.

Doran said the Bike Nights has been held in Baxter, Iowa, for years but have been discontinued and his business has been encouraged to sponsor the event in Tama.
