A crew has been busy recently at the site of the former South Tama Primary School on State Street bordered by 8th, 9th and Harmon streets. “We are removing the asphalt and grass seeding to make it more presentable,” Steve McAdoo, South Tama maintenance supervisor told The News-Herald. The school was closed in 2007 upon completion of the Elementary School on Tama’s northwest side.
