A pair of absentee ballots which arrived after election day but were still valid had no effect on the outcome of the South Tama School bonds and issues vote when canvassed by the Board of Supervisors on Monday, May 9. The bond and tax levy issues failed to gain the required 60 percent needed with the SAVE?funding measure approved. Supervisors Larry Vest, Kendall Jordan and Dan Anderson conducted the canvas assisted by Auditor and Commissioner of elections Laura Kopsa and Elections Administrator Karen Rohrs.
