DES MOINES Last week, Senator Jeff Edler, R-State Center, filed to run for re-election in Senate District 36. First elected in 2016, Senator Edler represents Tama and Marshall counties and part of Black Hawk County.

Senator Edler serves as the chair of the Senate Local Government Committee and vice chair of the Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee. He also serves on the Senate Agriculture, Education, Human Resources, International Relations, Veterans Affairs, and Way and Means committees.
