AMES- The Iowa 4-H Foundation is excited to host the second annual Iowa 4-H Giving Day, Give. Grow. Iowa 4-H, on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

This is a 24-hour online event to provide the financial support needed to help the 4-H Program continue its incredible work across the state of Iowa and here in Tama County.

This campaign is a way to engage 4-H alumni all over Iowa and have fun promoting 4-H experiences via social media. Everyone is encouraged to join the fun on October 8. There are several ways to participate:

Share why you are participating in Iowa 4-H Giving Day

All the money raised from Give. Grow. Iowa 4-H will go directly back to the 4-H Program. Participants can give specifically to one of the four Iowa 4-H priority areas: Communication & the Arts, Healthy Living, Leadership & Civic Engagement and STEM, or a participating county.

“Funds raised during this event could make it possible for a 4-H member to participate in a trip or attend a state or national event that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford. A donation of $180 will send a 4-H member to State 4-H Conference; $40 will send younger youth to a camp. Even small donations made this day could make a big impact on the future of youth in our county”, said Cheryl Bruene, Executive Director Tama County Extension and Outreach

Join us! Give a gift, large or small and be part of a collective effort to strengthen the 4-H Program and better serve the youth of our state. For those who are not online, you can still spread the word and help grow Iowa 4-H. Mail or drop off a gift to Tama County and specify it’s for Give. Grow. Iowa 4-H Giving Day.
