Work continues on tuckpointing of the chimney on the east side of the South Tama Middle School in Toledo. Mary Boege, distrcit business manager, said the work is unrelated to a recent fire in the building. Because of the age and type of brick making up the chimney, some bricks from the Class of 1929 pillars at the main entrance were “borrowed” for restoration work, she said. Ciro Dilorio Masonry and Landscaping, Marshalltown, is the contractor for the work.
