The Lance J. Horbach Award, presented annually by the Tama County Community?Foundation, was received this year by Logan Roberts, director, on behalf of the Tama County Conservation Board in recognition of the Conservation Science Curriculum Bins project. Horbach made the presentation. Horbach was instrumental while serving in the Iowa Legislature for creation of the 85-county program in Iowa to distribute a portion of gambling proceeds to counties who are not the sites of state-licensed casinos.
