South Tama County STEM Festival set for April 7

Young and old, male or female, there will be something for everyone at the South Tama County Family STEM Festival. The event will be held on Sunday, April 7 from 1- 4 p.m. at the South Tama Elementary School.

The goals of the festival are to promote, inspire and engage youth in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities and to introduce children and parents to STEM careers. Organizations throughout Tama County and the state will feature interactive STEM exhibits and activities for all ages.

Experience free and fun activities at this hands on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics event being held. This festival is a celebration of science and aims to show that science is not only meaningful and relevant, but also fun!

Every citizen encounters STEM on a daily basis in making decisions about parenting, health care, transportation, leisure and quality of life in general. Join us on April 7 to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through free and fun activities.

Are you an organization or business that has a STEM activity that you could share? Could you share how you live STEM each day? We are still looking for exhibitors.
