The Tama County Historical Society is hosting a potluck picnic at the historic 1872 Haven School, 2488 380th St, Chelsea, on Sunday, June 3, beginning at 1 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

The school building sits on its original location and has been lovingly restored. Guests should bring a picnic dish to share, as well as lawn chairs and table service.

The school is located about seven miles southeast of Tama on Tama County Road E64.
