Keeping Our Children Safe is the theme of the National Night Out event planned for next Tuesday, Aug. 1, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the Tama-Toledo Eagles Club, 112. E. 3rd, downtown Tama.

Toledo, Tama and Meskwaki Nation police departments and the Tama County Sheriff’s Office are to take part.

The public is welcome to enjoy a free meal and receive safety awareness information along with fun activities.
