Eagles to host National Night Out in Tama
The Tama-Toledo Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Eagles Auxiliary will be joining with local law enforcement for a National Night Out – Keeping Our Children Safe Event.
Activities get under way on Tuesday, Aug. 1, and run from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 112 East 3rd St. in downtown Tama. A free meal, fun activities and safety awareness information will be provided according to chair Brenda Youngbear. The public is invited to attend.
The event is being held in both the United States and Canada to promote community safety awareness.
Officers from Tama, Toledo and Meskwaki Nation Tribal police departments and the Tama County Sheriff’s Office have been invited to take part.
