Cherry Lake will again be the scene for the 3rd annual Kids Fishing Derby sponsored by the community?activities Group and co-host Tama-Toledo Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

Sign-up starts at 7:30 a.m. next Saturday, June 3 with the Derby beginning at 8:30 a.m. Fish will be tagged for prizes and the lake is stocked with catfish, bluegill, bass and crappie.

Entry forms are available at Cut loose, Tama and Toledo city clerk offices and the Eagles?Club.

Kids receive a t-shirt and need to bring their own fishing gear.

There’s an adult 50 / 50 contest planned as well.
