The local Girl Scout Troop 1579 is working with the local food pantry to head up a community project to help with needs in the Tama-Toledo Community.

The girl scout troop are asking for donations from community members by donating non perishable food items (canned fruit needed) or personal hygiene products such as shampoo and conditioner.

Brightly colored donation boxes can be found at Shopko, Fareway and Ultimate Image. On the boxes are signs made by the Girl Scout members as well as information about the need in the community. Other businesses are welcome to request a box to place at their business.
